Industry Developments: Utility Incentives
Energy Optimization is pleased to announce that both the Chiller Optimizer control systems and DTE Hy-Save LDS pumps qualify for energy efficiency incentives at a large number of California utilities. These incentives provide further credibility that these retrofit technologies provide efficiencies equal to or better than new chillers at a fraction of the cost. These incentives include the following areas:
Northern California: PG&E offers PUC SPC (Standard Performance Contract) incentives of $0.09 - 0.10/kWh saved which varies between the Large and Small Commercial classification. The huge savings pay for 50-70% of the installed cost. The DTE Hy-Save product qualifies for $0.20 - 0.225/kWh saved and again the incentive pays 50-70% of the installed cost.
Central & Southern California: SCE offers PUC SPC (Standard Performance (Contract) incentives of $0.09 - 0.10/kWh saved which varies between the Large and Small Commercial classification. The huge savings pay for 50-70% of the installed cost. The DTE Hy-Save product qualifies for $0.20 - 0.225/kWh saved and again the incentive pays 50-70% of the installed cost.
Southern California: San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) offers PUC SPC (Standard Performance Contract) incentives of $0.09 - 0.10/kWh saved which varies between the Large and Small Commercial classification. The huge savings pay for 50-70% of the installed cost. The DTE Hy-Save product qualifies for $0.20 - 0.225/kWh saved and again the incentive pays 50-70% of the installed cost.
Anaheim, CA: Municipal utility offers incentives of $0.075/kWh saved to a maximum of $50,000 per project. The huge savings pay for 70-90% of the installed cost. The Hy-Save product also qualifies for $0.075/kWh saved and the incentive pays 50-70% of the installed cost.
Riverside, CA: Municipal utility offers incentives of $0.165/kWh saved to a maximum of $50,000 per project. The huge savings pay for 70-100% of the installed cost. The Hy-Save product qualifies for $0.165/kWh saved and again the incentive pays 70-100% of the installed cost. The funds are subject to depletion so commercial and industrial customers are encouraged to explore an application to reserve funds as soon as possible.
